Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry Secretary General for Economic Diplomacy Dimitris Skalkos paid a visit to Chisinau on Monday to hold bilateral meetings and attend the Moldova Business Week 2025 (Sept. 15-19).

Skalkos is also president of Greece's investment- and export-promotion company Enterprise Greece.

In Monday's session that focused on the topic "Moldova Investment Map", Skalkos underlined the growing bilateral political, economic, and trade cooperation between Greece and Moldova, the role of the diaspora of both countries as a bridge between the two countries, the opening of the Greek embassy in Moldova's capital Chisinau, and the Greek government's support for Moldova's accession to the European Union.

In the framework of his bilateral contacts, Skalkos met among other with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development & Digitalization Doina Nistor, as well as Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu.
